Job Purpose

To be liable for the general supply chain management. As a Procurement Coordinator you will be accountable for managing the company’s supply of products and services. Procurement Coordinator accountabilities comprise of strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.

Procurement and Logistics – 65%

Provide efficient support and ensure success of the overall procurement & logistics activities, while providing efficient utilization of resources

Make sure of full agreement and application of standard company procurement rules, procedures, and best practices

Maintain procurement processes that ensure project’s effective ability to procure and deliver quality goods and services to the requesting offices

Make sure that timely and quality procurement and logistics services provision according to the project’s duration

Supervise, and control shipping and delivery of purchased goods, equipment, and supplies, as well as their customs clearance and insurance (where required)

Be able to handle all logistical arrangements making sure proper quality control, specification compliance, checking and verification of deliveries, plus timely delivery to the end user

Make regular reports on the status of the overall procurement process

Make sure of loyalty to operational policies, procedures, and standards of conduct

Make sure to submit statements received for the goods delivered/delivery notes for filing along with supporting documents

Create a proper recording and monthly reporting systems of all procurement activities all-encompassing of updated inventory

You should liaise with client success team on all open jobs

You should deliberately plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services

Unswerving, optimize and coordinate full order cycle

Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, and customers

Handle and oversee activities of transport fleet under the overall supervision of transport focal point/receptionist

Lead the staff and implement proper filing system for Logistics and Procurement Unit

Do any other task assign by the supervisor

Process all the GRVs for local orders.

Business Management and Support – 30%

Communicate the training to staff on procurement and logistic related procedures

Gage the primary sales bids against cost-effectiveness criteria.

You should know the goals, standards, policies, and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments within the group.

You must provide some advice and guidance to clients

Manage incident management activities

Handle people, processes and technology that form the contact infrastructure

Strategic Management – 5%

Partake in strategic planning, and formulating long-term business plans

Do all the pricing and competitor analysis

Work experience requirements

Essential

Have at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Must have at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in reconciling high volumes of accounts.

Have skills of Computer literacy in Pastel Evolution important.

Have good skills of Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel etc.) at least intermediate level.

Show a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Have some excellent numerical and organization skills.

Be contented when working within a team.

Be able to cope under pressure and make sure deadlines are met.

Knowledge of handling relationships at all levels including senior executives

Have the ability to contribute efficiently when working with senior colleagues, across the breadth of business/strategic issues.

Have admirable interpersonal skills at all levels with a presentable and professional personality.

Be goal orientated, driven and motivated.

Be good at problem identification, problem solving and decision-making skills

 

Preferred

Thorough understanding of the IT industry

Demonstrable management of a rapidly growing business

 

Education requirements

Must have grade 12 / Matric.

You ought to have a Bookkeeping Diploma or Equivalent 3+ years full function Creditors & Debtors and Bookkeeping experience.

Have a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management and Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Warehouse Team: Pickers, Packers/ Reworkers, Forklift drivers, and General workers
  • Delegate functions to staff
  • General Housekeeping
  • Inventory Control/Cycle Count/Stock Take
  • Quality Control
  • Optimize Production output
  • Receive and Dispatch Stock
  • Enforce Warehouse Processes and Procedures

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • 3 Years’ experience in Warehousing and Dispatching Stock
  • 2 Years’ experience in Staff Management
  • 3 Years’ experience working in the Warehouse Department of a FMCG, Retail distribution company
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Driver’s License and own transport
